Psychotherapist / Counsellor
Working with
Children, Adolescents & Adults
Daralee trained with UK’s leading Children's mental health charity, Place2Be and the University of East London to become a specialist Child and Adolescent counsellor and psychotherapist. She has worked with the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in the Family Support Team on a "Transition and Resilience" project, counselling children of diverse backgrounds in schools. Alongside her work with Vitus Wellbeing, Daralee is currently working in an outstanding-rated school in South West London as a supervising counsellor.

Daralee cultivates an environment of warmth and acceptance for every client. She uses creative techniques to help children feel comfortable and enable them to access their deeper emotions. Daralee has additional training in solution-focused, CBT and ACT approaches specific to young people, which allows her to teach practical skills, proven coping methods and simple strategies to her clients that help with the day-to-day managing of their emotions.
Daralee sees how powerful trust is to a therapeutic relationship and how it can enable a young person to develop the confidence and self-belief to move forward and progress in an ever-changing world.
Daralee also brings with her 20 years of experience as a Montessori, Drama and English teacher in an international school setting and Further Education. Her broad skillset and wealth of experience enables her to adapt her approach to the needs of each client, and to find a way to connect with a range of different characteristics and personalities.

As part of her academic research, Daralee's work focused on the causes, impact and solutions of child and adolescent anxiety, and the importance of healthy sleep strategies for the treatment of insomnia. As such, she's exceptionally well-equipped to support our younger clients with their anxiety, overwhelm, stress and burn-out, as well as their self-care, healthy habits and sleep hygiene.

Daralee is very highly regarded in her field - we're lucky to have her on our team, supporting children, adolescents, adults and their families with their mental health and resilience.
