Therapy for Adults

Find the support you need for your mental health

As adults, we're often very good at looking after others and rather poor at looking after ourselves - especially when it comes to our mental or emotional health.

The goals we set ourselves are becoming increasingly ambitious, plus we expect to juggle a career, a relationship (or dating), a family, childcare, a number of friends, numerous hobbies and still have time to unwind. It isn't easy.

When we face so many challenges (including the pandemic and cost of living crisis), it can be hard to gauge whether our responses are 'normal' or whether they could be linked to a mental health condition. In either case, we can help.

Adults come to therapy for a broad range of reasons - perhaps you're navigating a significant life change, struggling with your relationships, looking to discover (or rediscover) your purpose and potential, needing help with physical and emotional difficulties, you may be experiencing behavioural problems or changes, or questioning your identity and life decisions,

or any one of many, many other reasons.

If you're tired of feeling low, lost, overwhelmed, worried or on-edge - we can help.

One-to-one talking therapy plays a huge part in positive personal growth. By working with your private therapist, you can delve into healthy and unhealthy behaviours and patterns, learning more about your past and how it's shaped you to become who you are today. We'll work together to find healthier ways forward, paving the way for a life that brings you joy, authenticity, satisfaction and purpose.

If your negative experiences or thought patterns are interfering with daily life, it's time to speak to a therapist. Everyone feels sad, angry, lost or in pain sometimes, and may struggle with a lack of self-esteem or self-confidence, but if those feelings start to dominate, it's time to seek professional support.

We're here to help.

Our specialist therapists are highly experienced in working with a range of life's difficulties.

We use psychodynamic, humanistic, transactional analysis and existential theories, while integrating teachings and techniques from CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Mindfulness and Relaxation teachings.

You're unique. We're proud to have a diverse team with different approaches, characteristics and skillsets. We'll match you to the right therapist for you, so you get the best possible experience and the most significant results from your sessions.

Your health and wellbeing is our top priority.

With identification and diagnosis rates vastly improving for difficulties such as Depression, Anxiety, OCD, ADHD, ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Behaviour and Processing Disorders in children, adolescents and adults, our team of specialists are well-equipped to help.

We have a detailed understanding of each disorder, as well as the expertise required to advise how best to adjust and cope with day-to-day life (if required).

We also appreciate how hard you may have been trying to cope. We know how much willpower it can take to reach out to a therapist, so there will be no judgement if you've turned to some of the more 'unhealthy' coping mechanisms in the past.

Perhaps you've turned to alcohol or drugs, self-harm, disordered eating, hair-pulling or thinking of ending your life. You can be open with us and we'll adapt our therapeutic plan accordingly, taking into account any previous difficulties you've endured and any medication you may be taking.

We offer a safe-space for you to feel truly heard and supported, free from judgement or ridicule. We want to know what it's like to be you, living your life.
